The Barely 500 label is the brand name used by Ingenioso Hidalgo for games produced in small runs of just 500 copies.
The paper materials of the game are normally printed by local printers (in Italy) and then assembled into game boxes at my tavern as they are requested by players.
In this time of gaming bulimia and overproduction, this system of making games may seem absurd and uneconomical (and in part it certainly is). It is demanding and the end result – as materials – is definitely not up to par with many games on your shelves. Why do it then?
