Here’s the announcement everyone has been expecting. In mid-November, alongside the restock of Battlefields, alongside ‘Association Football for Lonely Gentlemen’, and alongside another little something I’m saving for last, there’ll also be the second Battlefields Pack, which will contain the battles of Borodino, Marengo and Valls.
It’s taken us a bit longer than expected because that’s just how life goes. We’ve also chosen battles that haven’t proved easy to ‘simulate’ (always take that word with a pinch of salt).
Whilst Borodino was, all things considered, a straightforward affair – with its senseless slaughter (which, after all, sums up every battle, but that’s another matter) – finding a balance in the ‘two battles’ of Marengo proved rather complex (though we believe we’ve achieved a fine result!), whilst for the battle of Sehested it has so far proved impossible (and indeed it is not included in the pack, having made way for the more canonical Valls).
The pack will arrive in a handy and stylish envelope, still priced at 19 euros.
